Nice trip, that supercharger lives just down the street from us.. looks like you made it through before the smoke rolled in this summer.

Surely you have jdm at home too?

Vancouver Island is amazing for carspotting, MGs and Triumphs everywhere (because SO BRITISH), JDM Delicas and Kei vans. Whole shit ton of weird non-special JDM cars, Soarers, Harriers, Hilux Surfs. Once saw a Corrado and an Asuna within a few cars of eachother just outside of Cowichan Bay, it’s ridiculous.

Yeah some JDM but not like we used to. 2006-2007 seemed to be peak JDM. I actually had 2.

1991 Toyota Soarer Twin Turbo & a 1990 Nissan Fairlady Z Twin Turbo.

I miss those days.

I literally drove straight thru Kelowna I was there for a max of 20mins so no. But I spent some time in Vernon and although nothing really stood out vehicle wise one thing I noticed is that cars have NO RUST. I’ve seen a 30 or so year old toyota pickup that were major prone to rust and it was mint. Same thing for an old Chevy Tracker completely rust free.

It’s a freaking heaven for gear heads as everything is so clean. I did not see one rusted car.

I actually saw an Asuna Sunrunner in Vernon BC. I was scratching my head since I had never heard of Asuna before then.

Wow! With optional passenger side mirror. Remember when that was an option? Crazy.

The mother of one of my childhood friends had a silver Justy, sans passenger side mirror. I spent a lot of time in that car.

What in the ..... ?

Can somebody please explain to me why one would buy this instead of a snow mobile? Seriously, I’m curious, I know nothing about these.

I think it’s because it can go a lot of places a snowmobile couldn’t.

Yeah my first car was a 1985 Chevette 2 door and it did not have a passenger side mirror.

Looks like you had a fun trip!

The weird thing about that Tesla Supercharger is that until recently, I didn’t know it existed. I stumbled upon an instagram pic of it and thought “that can’t be Kamloops!” Apparently, we have a few Model S-es in town now .

Had a total blast. One thing I learnt is before booking a plane ticket to anywhere. Consider driving if it’s feasible to do so.

Funny you say that. I’ve seen a ton of Model S’s in vancouver,Victoria area and you know what? 99% of them were red.

I’f I buy a tesla I’ll make sure it’s not red since it’s by far the most common color.

I’ll get brown instead .

Most of the ones I saw in Vancouver in the spring were black or grey. Brown was discontinued :(

SONOFAFUCKINGBITCH !!! Brown and Green were no joke my two favorite colors for the Model S.

I kept saying it’s a shame no one really offers green and brown anymore.

You can how ever still get a Hyundai accent in Coffee Bean Metallic so at least there’s that.

Is french your first language? Guessing by the Acadian. I figured all Canadians would spell canoe the same.

Thinking about applying to the RCMP made me realize I’d really like to live in Alberta or BC for a bit.

Kinja'd!!!0

Yes french and yes it’s spelled the same but how many times in your life do you spell canoe ?

Mr.Magoo, Canoo ? sounds the same so you can see where that came from.

Alberta is mostly a shit hole(I’ve been here for 10 years). BC would be the place to go if you have a choice.

Very infrequently do I write it. And fair enough, it certainly sounds that way.

I think I mostly want in the Rockies somewhere. Although right on the coast might be alright.

Whatever you do avoid Vancouver at all cost. The worst city I’ve EVER been in. It’s just WAY too crowded. Way too many pedestrians and SO MUCH traffic. 1.5 kms took almost an hour.

The island of Victoria on the other hand was one of the best places I’ve been.

Kinja'd!!! Stephen the Canuck > Luc - The Acadian Oppo
08/26/2015 at 20:30

Kinja'd!!!0

Worse than Toronto? There’s some parts of Toronto I don’t mind other than the traffic.
Victoria would be cool to visit. I’ve never seen an ocean so that would be fun. I’d like to take the ferry over. I’m not sure there’s other ways over, I haven’t thought about it. I would guess plane or boat really.

I’ve never been to toronto so I can’t comment but out of all the places I have been, Vancouver was by far the place I least enjoyed.
